She has a Master´s in History with honorable mention from the Department of Philosophy and Literature at UNAM, and is a doctoral candidate in History at the Latin American University (Universidad Iberoamericana).

She has been a professor and researcher at the Higher School of Physical Education (Escuela Superior de Educación Física, ESEF), a researcher at the National Institute of Anthropology and History (Instituto Nacional de Antropología e Historia, INAH) and at UNAM’s Institute of Anthropological Research (Instituto de Investigaciones Antropológicas, IIA). She has been a teacher since 1990 at UNAM’s Education Center for Foreigners (Centro de Enseñanza para Extranjeros, CEPE), where she teaches: “Theater Workshop”, “Live Theater”, “Theater Appreciation”, “Body expression workshop” and “Dramaturgy and History”. She is the author of numerous essays that have been published in books and of articles published in various specialized magazines. She is responsible for and a participant in research projects at CITRU related to theater history in Mexico in the XX century. She specializes in the study of experimental groups that emerged in the first half of that century. She is a founding partner of the Mexican Association for Theater Research (Asociación Mexicana de Investigación Teatral, AMIT). Since 2006, she has been a member of its Executive Committee and she is currently its vice-president. At various times she has been part of the Academic Board of CITRU and INBA´s Theater Area Adjudicating Committee, as well as of CEPE´s Technical Advisory Board. She has been a speaker and lecturer at multiple academic gatherings and conferences both national and international.
