He served as an analyst for the Nation´s General Archive (1979-1989). He has been a CITRU researcher since 1989, as well as a professor at the National Anthropology School (Escuela Nacional de Antropología), from the Autonomous University of the State of Morelos (Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Morelos), and at the College of Sciences and Humanities (Colegio de Ciencias y Humanidades, CCH) of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, UNAM). He is the author of the book Party and Theater in Mexico City, edited by CITRU in 2003, and is the coauthor of the third volume of the History of the Everyday Life in Mexico, edited by the College of Mexico and the Economic Culture Fund (Fondo de Cultura Económica) in 2005. He is a member of the “History of the Everyday Life” seminar at the College of Mexico; and coauthor of Four Variety Theater Plays for Theater of These Days, edited by the Metropolitan Autonomous University-Azcapotzalco (Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana-Azcapotzalco) in 2009.
