This theater log gathers various works about Heiner Müler’s play Cuarteto, which premiered in Mexico City in May 1996, with Ludwik Margules as director. Besides Müler’s text —translated by Juan Villoro— there are interviews with Müller (playwright), Ludwik Margules (director), Álvaro Guerrero and Laura Almela (actor and actress); there is also a log and chronicle of more than 30 rehearsal sessions written by Rubén Ortiz; and texts by Jean Baudrillard, Choderlos de Laclos, and Georges Bataille, people one way or another involved in theatre. All these works are meant to “comprehend the creative process; enlist methodology; and above all, record how complex scenic work is and share findings with other theater people”.
