This study, mainly based on the actas de Cabildo* of Mexico City, registers and describes the places where religious, civic or courtesan plays were performed, as well as the places built specifically for theater presentations (comedy houses, coliseums and corrals) in Mexico City from the 16th to the 18th Century. An appendix with data is included, as well as pictures of places, mockups, drawings and photos.
